About me

I am a watercolour artist, teacher and demonstrator with over thirty years experience, born in Yorkshire, now based in Bristol. I paint and demonstrate a wide variety of subjects, from marine and landscape to more whimsical art. My marine work embraces ancient and modern, sail and steam. The extensive research I undertake in order to precisely authenticate the fine detail required will be appreciated by all who love ships and the sea and make fine presentation pieces.

I consider sensitivity and composition in my paintings to be of paramount importance and I often introduce figures which can help bring a painting to life.

I am regularly invited to demonstrate to art groups with a wide range of abilities from beginners to the more experienced, and am happy to discuss a subject of your choice for demonstration or use my own topic.
